That, at least, is the story the White House and its allies, most prominently Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), want to tell.

The White House has particularly targeted meatpackers over the past several days. Its economists put out an analysis slamming meat processing companies for excessive profiteering, and Press Secretary Jen Psaki blamed “the greed of meat conglomerates” for rising prices.

  • At any given time there are only so many goods and services in the market place. Hey, let’s have the government print up jillions of dollars to chase those goods and services. Oooops, looks like we have this thing called inflation. I wonder what caused that. Could it be the government printing up all of those extra jillions in funny money? Ya think? And remember, only those who go to the Ivy League school are “smart enough” to control our nation’s money supply. Really???????????
