There was an uproar on the social media platform X on Tuesday afternoon as news hit about what was happening at James Madison High School in New York City.

The city is evacuating almost 2,000 illegal aliens who are staying in a tent on Floyd Bennett Field due to concerns about the weather because the field is not a livable environment in the face of a potential torrential rain storm and high winds.

But city officials are now moving the illegal aliens into the second-floor gym of James Madison High School in Brooklyn.

“To be clear, this relocation is a proactive measure being taken out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety and wellbeing of individuals working and living at the center,” City Hall spokeswoman Kayla Mamelak said.

“The families are already in the process of being temporarily relocated and will continue to be provided with essential services and support,” Mamelak added. “The relocation will continue until any weather conditions that may arise have stabilized and the facility is once again fit for living.”

But what about the kids who are supposed to be learning there?

The school only got notice today that the illegal aliens would be coming.

“They told us we had to get everything out by 5 [p.m.],” gym teacher Robyn Levy said outside the school. “They sent us the email at 6 in the morning. I don’t know when we’ll be able to back.

“What I want to know is why here?” Levy said. “Why not send them somewhere where students wouldn’t be disrupted, where students learning wouldn’t be disrupted?”

New York Republican lawmakers, including Thomas Sullivan, who is a candidate for Assembly, and City Councilwoman Inna Vernikov, weighed in, sounding the alarm about what a bad policy this was and talking about the priorities here. They also reported the kids would be doing virtual classes tomorrow. Vernikov said it was the kids who were being punished here.

FYI: Imagine my outrage when I discovered that the Brooklyn New York high school that was all over the news was “Madison High.” I attended James Madison High School and lived about three houses down from the school since the day my parents brought me home from the hospital after I was born. – ADB.

  • What goes around, comes around. You mean allowing millions of illegal aliens into the U.S. is really a bad idea??? I’m shocked, shocked I tell you.
