Kamala Harris Announces $750 in Assistance for Families Who Lost Everything in Hurricane Floods

f you’ve been affected by Hurricane Helene, you may now be eligible for dozens and dozens of dollars in relief.

Harris made a stop in Augusta, Georgia, to speak about the devastation, and let citizens know that help had finally arrived after days of being completely ignored by the administration. As was the case with East Palestine, Ohio, the voter demographics of the region are typical of what the Biden administration tends to ignore. 

“I want to thank the governor for his leadership and his close coordination with the federal government, with our administration,” Harris said. “And I want to thank the local leaders for working together, creating a task-force-like response, knowing we are at our best when we work together and coordinate resources, coordinating our communications to the maximum effect for the community that has been impacted,” she added.

And what kind of help can people expect to receive? “The federal relief and assistance that we’ve been provided, includes FEMA providing $750 for folks who have immediate needs to be met.”
